Hi! I’m Lisa, a contemporary pop-surrealist artist based in Crescent Valley, British Columbia. I have been expressing myself creatively since childhood.
My work explores the vivid intersection of the untamed spirit of the wild and the electric energy of modern counterculture. In my eyes, the natural world and underground spaces share the same primal heartbeat; both are spaces of survival, vulnerability, beautiful absurdity, and raw, unrestrained freedom. Channeling this fierce energy, I paint feral zombie animals that challenge traditional wildlife portraiture.
Using bright colours, bold negative space, and fluorescent paint, I create wildlife portraits with a whimsical and feral edge that feels illuminated from within. They also look badass under blacklight!
